Appointments can be made either by telephone, online or by calling the reception desk where you can book an appointment with one of our clinicians. GP appointments can be pre-booked via reception up to 2 weeks in advance.
We also offer a number of same day / urgent appointments which are booked through reception.
Requests are triaged, usually by our Nurse Practitioner, and you will be given an appointment with the most appropriate clinician to deal with your problem.
We always try to minimise the waiting time for you and, whilst we try to see you at the appointed time, some patients appointments may take longer than the time allocated, so please be patient if there is some delay.
We will also try to give you an appointment with the doctor that you prefer, but it may not always be possible.
The surgery also has access to appointments out of hours via enhanced access, please ask reception about these if needed.
Attending Appointments / Cancellations
Please always attend your appointment on time and if you are unable to keep your appointment then please remember to call us as soon as possible to cancel the appointment.
By doing this, you will be helping us make more appointments available for you and other patients.

If you need a dressing changing, please contract the Treatment Room at Springwell Health Centre on 0191 5282828, they are open Monday to Friday 08:30 ‑ 12:00 and 13:00 ‑ 17:00.
